Climbers, meet your new favorite jacket.
The standout feature of the Rock Jacket is the use of lightweight and durable "HPPE material," which boasts excellent abrasion resistance and tear strength. This makes it exceptionally strong for activities such as climbing and alpine hiking where rock durability is crucial.
Compared to the standard Wind River, it has lower stretch and breathability, but its windproof performance has been dramatically improved. The double zipper design allows for better ventilation when opened from the bottom. Due to the lack of stretch, the armholes and other parts are slightly larger than those of the Wind River Hoody.
Additionally, the inner loops allow the jacket to be hooked to a harness with a carabiner, making it possible to put on the jacket even in windy conditions without it blowing away.
This shell is ideal for alpine hiking, scrambling, climbing, trail running in cold areas, and for those who are sensitive to the cold.
Fabric
Made from 89% recycled nylon and high-strength HPPE (high-performance polyethylene) yarn in a ripstop pattern, it boasts surprisingly high tear strength that can withstand climbing.
Shoulder Range of Motion
The raglan design ensures a wide range of motion for the arms and shoulders necessary for climbing.
Hem Design
The hem is designed to be loose-fitting to prevent it from riding up during climbing. Short elastic cords on both sides allow it to gently follow the body's shape.
Cuff Thumb Anchors
The cuffs feature thumb anchors. They do not use stretch material, anticipating friction with rocks.
Front Zipper
The front zipper has a double slider design, allowing it to be opened from the bottom for ventilation.
Packable
The jacket can be packed into the left waist pocket. It has a carabiner loop, allowing it to be hooked to a harness gear rack for easy removal and wearing.
